The Test - A Thrill, A heart-stopper

The test match drew to a fitting final day and it sure lived up to the billing.............india vs australia encounters are always interesting ones and this one was no different. The match kept looking like a pale draw until the end of third day, a nice display of bowling changed the complexion of the match on the fourth day, thanks to an inspired spell from ishant sharma and the match just turned on its head. By evening of fourth day, india was back on the crease batting to win/loose the match as it may go, top order caved in the last hour of 4th day, it just took 17 overs. The top order had meekly caved in, with the same old sinking feeling "there we go again...................", but with sachin on crease hopes were alive ever so slightly. Fifth day started zaheer went back to pavilion early with MS following him in a bizarre run out. Laxman and tendulkar looked good until tendulkar got out and from there it was the same old story as it looked. India again looked like loosing the match on the 5th day, but it was not to be as a so called ishant sharma and one very very famous VVS had a script of their own to write with a golden lining. Ishant and laxman put up an 81 run stand bringing india into the match from the strong position of defeat and pulled off, one the most famous win's of the decade. laxman just stands out with his performance, although suffering from back spasm's, yet remained as calm as a monk for most of his innings. India pulls off a victory that will be remembered for sometime to come. The result was possible more because of the performance put in by the bowlers from both sides, they really gave it everything that they had and it showed, both teams had an equal chance up until the last run was scored....................................
